The book contains the contributions of some of the key staff and academics, experts, young researchers and alumni who participated in the “Summer School in European Environmental Taxation” (SUSEET) organised by the Law Department of the University of Naples Federico II in the framework of a Jean Monnet Module co-funded by the European Commission. It contains a series of academic papers on key issues in the field of environmental taxation and policy and their implications for the Europe Union, in building a sustainable future.
Roberta Alfano is Professor of Tax Law at the University of Naples Federico II and coordinator of SUSEET. She is a member of international research projects and author and co-author of 6 books and more than 100 publications in 3 languages (Italian, Spanish, English). In particular, one of her many research interests is European taxation. Environmental taxation and the circular economy are among her favourite research topics.
Marina Bisogno is a researcher in tax law at the University of Naples Federico II and Key Staff member of the SUSEET project. PhD in tax law with a double degree (in Italy and France) with the distinction of Doctor Europaeus, she was Assistant Professor at the University of Naples and at the University of Paris Nanterre, and she was awarded a Marie Curie Individual Fellowship to develop research on vehicle taxation at the University San Pablo CEU in Madrid, Spain. She is a member of international research groups and the author of numerous national and international publications on taxation issues. Her main line of research refers to environmental taxation and European taxation.
