Circular Economy and Sustainability: A Multidisciplinary Perspective provides an in-depth and rigorously analytical examination of the transition toward circular economy paradigms, conceptualized as a complex process shaped by interdependent economic, institutional, regulatory, and organizational dimensions. Synthesizing interdisciplinary perspectives, the volume integrates theoretical frameworks with empirical analyses to investigate the mechanisms through which policy instruments influence the adoption, diffusion, and effectiveness of circular practices. Maria Rosaria Alfano, Ph.D., is Full Professor at the Department of Economics of the Università degli Studi della Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”, Capua, Italy, where she teaches Public Finance, Market failure and Green Economy. She is member of SIEP, and President of the Degree Programs in Economics and Financial Markets – University of Campania. Research focuses on the circular economy, the economics of crime, tax evasion, and decentralization. She is author of several articles published in distinguished scientific journals (Business Strategy and Environment; Socio Economic Planning Sciences; Journal of Comparative Economics; Journal of Cultural Economics; Journal of Policy Modeling). Salvatore Ciucci, is Adjunct Professor of Econometrics at University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”. He holds a MRes in Economics and finance from the University of Naples “Federico II” and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Naples “Parthenope”. His research interests are Public Economics, Competition Policy, Industrial Organization, and Regulation.
