Il Volume raccoglie gli atti del primo anno di attività del Corso Jean Monnet EU-GLOBACT (Transnational Crime and EU Law: Towards Global Action against Cross-border Threats to common security, rule of law and human rights) co-finanziato dalla Commissione Europea (2023-2026), sull’emergente politica globale dell’UE in materia di lotta alla criminalità transnazionale, rilevante per la futura vita professionale dei laureati e per la formazione specialistica degli operatori giuridici e politici. L’opera, come anche il Progetto EU-GLOBACT che essa rappresenta, intende produrre una ricerca condivisa e uno scambio di idee al fine di individuare soluzioni ed esempi di buone prassi nella lotta ai cross-border crimes che potrebbero essere replicate da tutti gli Stati (europei e non), nonché contribuire allo sviluppo di una legislazione e di una politica conformi ai valori e ai principi dell’UE. A tal fine le iniziative didattiche, di ricerca e di divulgazione di EU-GLOBACT sono state condotte nell’ambito dell’International & European Criminal Law Observatory (IECLO) presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Giuridiche dell’Università di Salerno e invitando come docenti e relatori i principali esperti (italiani e stranieri) nelle focus area del Corso, che hanno tradotto in contributi scritti l’attività svolta nell’ambito della partecipazione al Progetto.
This Volume collects the proceedings of the first year of activities of the Jean Monnet EU-GLOBACT Course Transnational Crime and EU Law: Towards Global Action against Cross-border Threats to common security, rule of law and human rights co-financed by the European Commission (2023-2026), on the EU’s emerging global policy in the fight against transnational crime. The Course is designed to prepare graduates for their future professional lives and to provide specialised training for legal and political operators. This Book and the Project it represents aim to promote joint research and facilitate the exchange of ideas to identify solutions and examples of best practices in the fight against transnational crime that could be replicated by all States, both European and non-European, and to contribute to the development of legislation and policies in line with the values and principles of the EU. This is accomplished through teaching, research, and dissemination initiatives within the framework of the International & European Criminal Law Observatory (IECLO), based at the Department of Legal Sciences, University of Salerno, and by inviting leading experts (Italian and foreign) to participate in the course as lecturers and speakers. As part of the Project, these experts have collated their activities into written contributions published in this Book.
